But she really did ok. On the plane ride home she slept the whole 4 hours! It was a dream!
I so know your anxiety, I am the worlds worst flyer! Even with my kids I have to take valium to get through it. But here's the good news! I was just telling Ray that after I survived flying with 5 kids to Florida, I actually think I could do it again!Laceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03321275110857561824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-602444691023096666.post-63425413442222822262011-05-20T19:27:57.250-04:002011-05-20T19:27:57.250-04:00Good luck with your trip and in your job search. ...Good luck with your trip and in your job search. I can't imagine traveling with Sweet Pea and Angel! We have told Daddy's relatives that it just isn't going to happen for a while and I really hope we stick to that!

Give that adorable Chloe a big hug from Sweet Pea and me!Sweet Pea's Mommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04865365312620255005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-602444691023096666.post-80902189118996087712011-05-20T16:19:10.549-04:002011-05-20T16:19:10.549-04:00Hi Aim-- Yes, travelling with three children is h...Hi Aim-- Yes, travelling with three children is hard, let alone having one with special needs! We have, in fact, resorted to Benadryl after Sammy terrorized the entire plane for the 5 hour trip (he was about a year old and teething molars-- about 50% of the plane riders were sympathetic and tried to help, the other 50% shot us dirty looks.) There was a professional flutist on the plane (from a symphony) and at one point she serenaded Sammy. It soothed him briefly, but there was just too much plane noise. I would recommend bringing the Benadryl as a back up ( if she can take it with her other meds and if she is not one of those 10% that have the opposite reaction and go hyper--test it first). You have lots of family members and everyone loves children-- so perhaps they can take turns pitching in and playing with Chloe, to give you a chance to breathe. And Xander is mature enough to be a helper with her (and probably Sadie, too)-- and your Mom. As far as the job search goes, you are a very talented, experienced and knowledgeable early childhood expert. Think outside the box. What about working for Birth to Three or for a Down's organization/chapter. Or as a personal home aide/early intervention specialist for a special needs child or even at the Child Study Center (You've probably considered all of these). Anyway, I have to go pick up Dana from Brownies now, but I wish you well on your trip and in your job search. I think it will all turn out better than you think at the moment. Hugs to you and the kids!Elisa Blackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04320037827105511594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-602444691023096666.post-76936153816639215852011-05-20T15:49:46.921-04:002011-05-20T15:49:46.921-04:00I know what you mean about travelling with exubera...I know what you mean about travelling with exuberant little ones...but our kids are always better behaved for others than they are for us, and if not there's always benedryll...ha!
and flying sucks...no way to sugar coat that...
and good luck with the job search, I couldn't imagine working for someone else either...blech
oh, and I'm excited about your camera! and I totally think canon is better than NikonNot a Perfect Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09538588358382300444noreply@blogger.com
